"I was born in a frozen winter in 1968 in a small town in the Tuscan Maremma.
I have always been fond of photography and I started shooting in the early Nineties, ispired by the great masters like Ansel Adams, Cartier-Bresson and others. I made either landscape and portraits, freezing every day life moments and trying to fix the right moment when something is going to happen. I don't like to concentrate on the subject itself but consider it in its context and look at the entire composition.
I worked for some time with digital but I returned to pure shot without doctoring at all, and I now work in my studio with portraits. I love self-portraits, being the subject of my images, a character I build in my mind, fantasies and dreams.
All this just to express myself, I am egocentric and extroverted, multifaceted and bizarre, in a word moody".
