Risa Rosine was born in 1969 in Düsseldorf/Germany, and started painting and drawing at 15 years old. All she has learnt about art and painting she learnt on her own, she is a self-taught artist with no regular art school studies. She has 2 children and works as a Web-Designer for a German theatre, so she is happy of every free minute which she can use for her artworks.
Personal statement:
"In the beginning I only used Aquarell Colours. Today, sometimes I like to mix all kind of Water-soluble Colours in one painting, so I can combine all the effects of different colour-natures e.g. the light of Aquarell-Colours and the power of any viscous coulor. Acryl is fantastic too, but not so usefull for complex paintings with many fine details, I use it for clear Pop-Art-Paintings."
"In my life the photography is an important area too and a really good alternative to make art, that does not keep so much time as a painting ( I only develope the negatives and scan them ;-)".
