"I created these images using 3D software. Digital 3D is an artistic medium that falls somewhere between photography and painting. It enables me to create entire environments, and then render a still image from anywhere within the environment I choose. Every object in my images starts out as a wireframe, that is then covered with a texture.
The wireframes are created using software that "extrudes" 2D data into a 3-dimensional object that can be scaled, rotated, or further modified. I like to create images that make the viewer want to step into them, to see what is around the corner or behind the door. I try to create highly detailed, believable environments. Even the most surreal of my pieces usually has realistic textures and lighting. I live and work in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina, USA."
