Zaruhi (Zara) Manucharyan was born in Yerevan, Armenia in 1972.
From 1980 to 1985 she attended the Art school after H. Kojoyan. She achieved her diploma in painting and graphics at the Yerevan State Fine Arts Institute in 1995 and then attended courses of management, marketing, fundraising in Saltzburg, Austria in 2001.
From 1990 to present she participated many individual and collective shows in Armenia and abroad, such as: Exhibition of Armenian Young Artists. St. Petersburg, Russia (1992); Exhibition of Armenian artists in Buenos -Aires, Argentine (1993); Exhibition of students of Yerevan State Fine Arts Institute "Peace Paths" (1994); Workshop; exhibition "Sovereignty" of International "Kobalt" and Artifices. Apt, France (1996); First International Gyumri Bienale Action "Tree of Wish" Gyumri, Armenia (member of coordinating committee, 1998); International Female Artists Symposium "Art, Time, Space", organizer and Coordinateur 2001).
She has worked for "Armenfilm" studio in the Animation Department and is currently a designer for Shoghakat TV.
Since 1995 she has been a member of "Kobalt" FRAUEN-KUNST-und-MEDIEN e.V. Hamburg, Germany. She is Vice-president of Union "Kobalt" of Yerevan and member of the Artists Union of the Republic of Armenia. In 1995 she volunteered at the International Work Camp in Berlin, Germany.
